With many tire changes or also after a change of the gear ratio, the wheel is repositioned by means of set screws. Many motorcycles have spacers on the swingarm which are used to set a straight position of the rear wheel. However, this is not very accurate and should only be used as a guide for chain tension.
The chain laser is held on the rim and the laser shows on the chain whether the wheel is installed straight or not.
An indispensable product for anyone who changes a wheel himself, a slanted wheel leads to heavy wear of the chain kit, on the tire and reduces the performance on the rear wheel.
